Gipps Aero Hangar

No items found.

This project was a design and construct building for the application of manufacturing a new type of aircraft for Mahindra air services who are currently operating out of the existing site and surrounding buildings. We were able to produce a winning design through careful discussions with our associated architect, design team and members of the Latrobe City Council.

The hangar measures 52 metres long and 25 metres wide containing an internal office space of 110m2 and an external office and amenities area of 100m2. The office and amenities areas were specifically designed for the use of Mahindra management and staff while our installation of a 23-metre-wide gantry crane speeds up manufacturing time. Planes enter and exit the hangar via a large auto bi-folding door which boasts an opening size of 8 metres high and 22 metres wide.

We are very proud of our design and the Latrobe City Council is extremely happy with our methods and management of the project in a highly active and potentially dangerous area.
